As a research and writing associate, Kirsten assists KJK attorneys in preparation for a wide variety of legal matters, providing support with drafting litigation documents, deposition preparation, and other client issues. She is also responsible for conducting substantive research into case law and statutory legislation both in Ohio and in states across the U.S.
Much of Kirsten’s work at KJK focuses on labor and employment law and domestic relations. She also worked in the realm of general civil litigation through her time in law school, and served as an extern to the general counsel of John Carroll University while there. Her client-centered philosophy allows her to achieve success in litigation while being attentive to the client through the entire process.
A native of the small town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Kirsten has been a proud, adopted Clevelander since 2014. She’s now a resident of Ohio City and appreciates Cleveland’s blend of big-city environment and small-town culture.
“I’m a counselor in every sense of the word, helping clients with legal matters but also getting to know each one as a person.” – Kirsten B. Mooney
