KJK Associate Alexis Preskar has been selected for the prestigious Barrister Leadership Program’s Class of 2018 by the Columbus Bar Association. She is one of only 21 Central Ohio young attorneys accepted into the program, which provides lawyers with five or fewer years in practice with leadership skill training and networking opportunities with leading regional business and civic leaders throughout the first eight months of 2018. The members of the Barrister Leadership Program will also work together on community service projects, which includes providing a free attorney hotline in conjunction with WSYX-TV.
“I am honored to have been selected for this wonderful opportunity. The Columbus Bar Association has been a terrific resource throughout law school and my first year of practice and I am thrilled to become more involved in this great organization,” said Alexis, who serves businesses in such areas as employment law, intellectual property, class action disputes and litigation.
Alexis is a 2016 graduate of the Capital University Law School, and received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University in 2013. In addition to her involvement with the Barrister Leadership Program, Alexis is also a member of the Columbus Young Professionals Club, Women Lawyers of Franklin County and the Columbus Metropolitan Club. Prior to joining KJK, Alexis served as an extern for Chief Judge Edmund A. Sargus of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and Justice Judith L. French of the Supreme Court of Ohio.
