Karen is the head of the firm's trusts and estates practice group. She brings over twenty-five years of experience counseling individuals in the areas of business succession planning, estate planning, asset protection planning, life insurance trust planning, charitable gift planning and trust and estate administration. Karen's practice also focuses on planning for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. She represents fiduciaries with complex estate administration issues and prepares state and federal estate tax returns.
Karen is a frequent speaker for bar associations and private groups on various estate planning topics such as, “Facing Taxes after Death–Post Mortem Planning,” “Ethics and Professionalism in Estate Planning,” “Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts,” “Estate Planning for the Newly Married Clients,” and “Repositioning Assets for Effective Estate Planning.”
