Jon is a corporate lawyer and business litigator. He represents corporations, government entities, foundations, franchises, and non-profit entities. Jon also serves as a counselor to high net-worth families, including some of Cleveland’s leading philanthropic families. Super Lawyers Magazine, which ranks the top attorneys in Ohio, recently named Jon as a “Rising Star.”
Jon’s corporate experience includes representing start-up ventures to established family businesses. Jon serves as general counsel for several area businesses and growing franchises.
Jon’s litigation experience includes serving as trial counsel on a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters. Jon represents public and private companies in securities litigation and other complex commercial disputes. He recently defended a New York-based public company in a several hundred million dollar securities class action. Jon also served as one of the lead trial attorneys in the prosecution of a related high-profile malpractice claim against the company’s former “big four” auditor that resulted in a multi-million dollar out-of-court settlement, which was featured in the Wall Street Journal and other major publications. In addition to being admitted to practice before all of Ohio's courts, Jon is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
