Litigation
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Sean was an associate at Jones Day in Washington, D.C.  He represented health care, energy, and manufacturing companies in a variety of complex litigations and government investigations, including fraud, breach of contract, antitrust, and False Claims Act cases.  Sean also advised companies on compliance with U.S. trade controls and economic sanctions, such as the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability and Divestment Act, the Anti-Boycott statutes, NAFTA, the State Department’s ITAR regulations, and the Commerce Department's BIS regulations.

Sean successfully represented manufacturers under investigation for antitrust violations by the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission; a health care provider accused of conspiring to suppress nurse wages; and a major oil company in a trial against the Department of Energy in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.  He has helped many pro bono clients as well, including an asylum petitioner in Immigration Court, a soldier appealing an unfavorable disability ruling by the U.S. Army's Physical Evaluation Board, and a criminal defendant accused of felony drug possession.
