Valoria Hoover, to Head New Location
October 2, 2006
Kohrman Jackson & Krantz P.L.L. (KJK) today announced the opening of a Columbus office headed by partner Valoria Hoover. The new office, located at 54455 Rings Road, Dublin, marks the firm’s first location outside of Cleveland.
“Establishing a presence in our state capital allows us to better serve our existing clients, as well as position us for new growth opportunities,” said Marc Krantz, KJK managing partner. “Having served as a senior judicial attorney for an Ohio Supreme Court justice and as special counsel to the Ohio attorney general, Valoria has strong Columbus ties and is a perfect fit to lead our new endeavor.”
A partner at KJK since 2001, Hoover principally practices in complex business litigation and general corporate matters. She also provides counsel to publicly and privately held companies in their day-to-day business. Her previous cases have involved many diverse claims, including fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, complex commercial disputes, insurance coverage issues, shareholder disputes, real estate disputes, class actions, intellectual property claims, employment discrimination, complex financial disputes, legal malpractice and trade secret violations.
Prior to joining KJK, Hoover practiced as a partner at an Akron-based law firm, concentrating on complex civil litigation and representing state universities, public utilities and other major businesses.
Hoover received a bachelor of arts degree from Miami University, earning her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and graduating magna cum laude from both institutions.
